2008 Farmington Egg Hunt
By Cathy Borella
How does one hunt for Easter eggs in 6 inches of snow, anyway? Thank goodness we didn’t have to find out! The snow that was forecast stayed away, and the sun shone brightly, making it a pleasant day for hunting eggs after all. There were about 50 children in attendance, and with over 1000 eggs spread out over Farmington park; everyone went home with a basketful of goodies. Emily Kahl found the golden ticket and won a prize, and Kevin Maloney had the closest guess for the jellybean jar contest, so he got to take home the whole jar, to his mom’s delight! Cookies and hot cocoa filled and warmed many tummies. Overall, it was a fantastic event. Thanks so much to all of the lovely ladies who helped out: Trudi Mueller, Christine Collins, Carrie Coffin, Julie McNab, Christina Fix and Gina Koscal. We hope to see everyone there again next year!
