Spring 2009 Newsletter: President’s Message

Happy Spring, Farmington Families! I am so ex-cited about what is happening in Farmington these next couple of months and am hoping that you will be too. We want to make sure that all of our fami-lies are able to experience these fun events and the only way that you can is if you are a member, so as a reminder please pay dues by June 1st.
We had an increase in new members this year which has allowed us to bring back an old Farm-ington event, the Family Picnic or “block party”. This is a great way to chill with the neighbors, play games with the kids and grill food in the street. In order to make this event successful we will need a lot of help and are looking for volunteers. A meeting is scheduled in the upcoming weeks to discuss the plans for the block party so let us know if you would like to be there. If you have a family member who is in a band or DJ’s as a hobby, please have them call me; we are looking for a family-fun sound at this event.
The increase in membership has also allowed us to purchase new Farmington event signs. Look out for 5 new ones scattered throughout the neighborhood, which means we will be able to “touch” every part of Farmington. For some reason our signs seem to be a focus for thieves, so if there is one posted near your home please look out for any suspicious activity.
As always I am looking forward to seeing everyone out and about so please stop and say hello.
